New Book Releases by L. A. Keller

Now that the chilly weather is upon us even those of us who live in Arizona, where our coolest temps aren't below sixty in the winter, need some indoor activities. I can't think of anything I love more than sitting by a fire with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa.  Well, maybe change the cocoa to a glass of nice Cabernet, but other than that the scene is perfect.

Here are a few new releases to kick of the year from some of the biggest name authors in the business, along with a short snippet from the book advertising. I must comment that any author who can write the same character for more than ten books amazes me. For Nora Roberts to write not only under her own name but also under the pen name of J. D. Robb is nothing short of astounding.

James Patterson - The People vs. Alex Cross
Alex Cross has never been on the wrong side of the law-until now. Charged with gunning down followers of his nemesis Gary Soneji in cold blood, Cross is being turned into the poster child for trigger-happy cops who think they're above the law. Cross knows it was self-defense. But will a jury see it that way?

Nora Roberts - Year One: Chronicles of the One, Book 1
It began on New Year’s Eve.
The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed―and more than half of the world’s population was decimated.

Tom Clancy - Power and Empire (A Jack Ryan Novel Book 18)
A newly belligerent Chinese government leaves US President Jack Ryan with only a few desperate options in this continuation of the #1 New York Times bestselling Tom Clancy series.

Dean Koontz - The Whispering Room: A Jane Hawk Novel
Jane Hawk—fiction’s most relentless, resourceful, stunning new heroine—continues her battle against a murderous conspiracy in the riveting sequel to The Silent Corner.

“No time to delay. Do what you were born to do. Fame will be yours when you do this.”

J. D. Robb - Dark in Death: An Eve Dallas Novel (In Death, Book 46)
It was a stab in the dark.On a chilly February night, during a screening of Psycho in midtown, someone sunk an ice pick into the back of Chanel Rylan’s neck, then disappeared quietly into the crowds of drunks and tourists in Times Square. To Chanel’s best friend, who had just slipped out of the theater for a moment to take a call, it felt as unreal as the ancient black-and-white movie up on the screen. But Chanel’s blood ran red, and her death was anything but fictional.
